Rare 1920s Blaser & Cie Oval Skillet
This exceptional oval skillet, stamped with the Blaser & Cie mark, is a rare find from the late 1920s, specifically dating from 1928 to about 1935.
Blaser & Cie was a renowned cookware shop located at 59 and 61 Rue Montmartre in Paris, active during the late 1920s. The shop was run by Alfred Blaser, who operated at this location from 1926 until 1935, when he dissolved the company. After the closure, the shop was taken over but remained largely unchanged in its offerings. In the 1940s, it was rebranded as ETS Blaser, and the original Blaser & Cie stamp was retired.
By 1973, the shop changed ownership again, leading to the loss of the Blaser name and its rich history. Today, it is incredibly rare to come across any cookware bearing the Blaser & Cie stamp, making this skillet not just a kitchen tool but also a collectible piece of culinary history.
